In the Nazca Lines trip, you will be pleased by the spectacular and peaceful view of the sea, the marine fauna at the Ballestas islands, the Huacachina natural oasis, the taste of home-made Pisco, and the enigmatic Nazca Lines.

First you will visit the Ballestas Islands, located right beside the Paracas National Reserve, where you will observe a large variety of marine fauna such as Humbolt penguins, sea lions, seagulls, and several coastal bird species. In the afternoon, you will visit the Huacachina natural oasis in the Ica desert. Five minutes from the Huacachina oasis you will have the chance to either ride a buggie along the desert dunes and practice sandboarding or visit a home-made Pisco Hacienda and enjoy a Paso horse exhibition.

The main attraction of this tour are the Nazca Lines. The Nazca lines are a series of geoglyphs located in the Nazca desert. These Nazca lines are hundreds of individual figures, ranging in complexity from simple lines to stylized hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, fish, sharks, llamas and lizards.

The exact reason why the Nazca lines were built remains a mystery. A leading theory is that the motivations of the Nazca civilization were religious, and that the images were constructed so that gods in the sky could see them. Some archaeologists support the theory that the Nazca Lines were intended to point to the places on the distant horizon where the sun and other celestial bodies rose or set. The Nazca Lines are an enigma. No one has really proof who built them or why. Since their discovery, the Nazca Lines have inspired fantastic explanations.
